Field Trip to Nagoya, Shingu, Ise - day 2

Today we visited Nagoya University for an engineering conference where many of our students presented. Afterwards we traveled over the three red-white and blue bridges of the port area, where practically all Japanese cars are being shipped abroad. In this respect it is much like Rotterdam, but far wider.
Needless to say 2 hours of lectures and 6 hours of traveling led to many shots taken from the bus, of the ocean, mountains and river crabs. We observed a great deal of coastal and landslide protection works, and stopped at a UNESCO heritage seaside. It was a good chance to see the Japanese sea side and to invent the term 'sea melons'. In the end we arrived at Shingu city, which suffered a big flood in 2011.
